I'm divorced, no kids, moved to LA from Florida 8-1/2 years ago. Been focused on career (I am a professional writer and actor) and building, but I don't have as many friends, especially close friends as I used to "back home," so I'm looking to find some additional friendships and hopefully a long term romantic one.Right off the bat - I am a Christian. It envelops and informs my entire life. My friends are of all stripes, but anyone I date or more needs to be a Christian. Non-negotiable. I was raised Lutheran, but have explored Presbyterian, Mennonite, Catholic, Methodist and more. I work out my faith with fear and trembling. I don't have kids of my own, but I am very good with kids and want to have some. Prefer not an instant family - just seen too much drama in many of those situations with multiple parents and families. (A widow would be different, of course). I love to read and write just about anything but Harlequin novels. I own several thousand books. I love watching (and making) movies, stage shows and Television. My favorite genre is sci-fi, but I am not limited to that. At the moment, I am heavier than I'd like. I was just working on reducing that issue when the pandemic hit and my gym closed. I am now the heaviest I've ever been, but walking and/or working out every day to get that under control.Like everyone, I have quirks that make me unique. I have a LOT of random bits of information in my head - I'm great at trivia, sometimes hard to watch TV with (especially cop & medical shows), unless they get me caught up in emotional storytelling. And, yes, I sometimes cry when watching.I tend to be conservative; under current conditions, probably best described as a moderate libertarian. I used to be a TV News Producer, and a Sheriff's Deputy (as did my Dad & sister). I like intellectual conversations, logical debates, and above all TRUTH. Disagreeing with me is great, but be prepared to defend.r
