`i think the admins of this site are gone, or just not doing some simple things to make the site better. like showing where in the sites people are logged into at the moment, or doing very simple improvements to the search for people, ie. tags, locations, etc. this site could definitely work for the users if they promote the site in their own area or post the link to it where they already hang out.
but honestly i think no one is managing this site anymore. i mean a good sign of that is there are no ads at all. no money coming in= no one is home. we are all just lonely people drawing circles in cyber space. XD welcome to lonely space everyone! ^_^

Hi,

Well, the admin for the site/network is not gone.

The network (currently) consists of over 150+ sites, with 3 new sites added in the last month alone. And we crossed over 2 million profile mark a few months ago...so the network is anything but dead.

Most of our time is focused on adding new sites and new features, along with fixing problems that arise from having a network of unique sites that work as standalone sites (...as well as part of a much larger network).

We try to respond to customer service issues and requests promptly, and we consider every suggestion made by members...so if you have some ideas on ways a particular site, or ways the network as a whole, could work better, please let us know.

`I don't know if this would work, but it looks like your forum software has moderator capabilities. How about appointing some "volunteer" users as moderators? Just a suggestion coming from an old USENET hack.

Thanks for your suggestion.

We'll discuss opening up moderator options, but we have been hesitant to do that in the past.

Since any member can already post as they would like, or make Forum suggestions to us directly, we are not sure of the benefit of having specific moderators.

We will discuss the issue again though.

I have not been on this site in years, and now it seems more clunky than ever. I can't even figure out how to view someone's profile. When I do a search, is shows profile images with usernames and locations. When you hover on or click on one, you'd think it would bring up their profile. Instead, the image flips over to show what other Passions Network groups the person is a member of. The email and other icons below also do not work for me. How do you even see a profile??? Is anyone listening or managing this site.

Sorry you are having trouble. The site is worked on practically everyday and the 'clunky' display you referenced was added as a way for people to see a lot of images on one page instead of a vertical list of results (like we used to have).

When you hover or click on someone you are interested in, our system shows you the sites you share in common with that member. Each one of the links you referenced would open the profile for that member on the site you chose. The idea being that you would see the sites you share with the other members and it could make it a little easier to break the ice.

We do not see a problem with the email (and other icons) below the search results, so please use the contact us form to let us know exactly what is happening when you attempt use them.

Separately, you can perform all the actions (and others) directly on a member's profile page, so if you are having trouble with the icon links for some reason...you can initiate an email or tag or friend request from that member's page once you have clicked through.

If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. While we monitor the forum, the best approach is to use the Contact form under HELP in the navigation menu.
