Looking for someone special I love to get out and about, whether it's a walk through the countryside, a stroll along the beach or a wander down the winding streets of some pretty old town. If I'm feeling lazy I might ride my quad down to the river and have a quiet smoke. I enjoy outdoor activities, from walking and playing boules to power kiting and quad biking.
My taste in music, film and books is really varied, but each is an important part of my life.
I get on well with children, though I don't have any of my own (timing of a breakup - I'm over it) working as a countryside ranger meant organising and leading loads of kids activities and I never failed to get a laugh.
I love animals; wild or domestic and I’m constantly rescuing hedgehogs! I did get some funny looks when I was paddling around in the river Wansbeck in November, trying to catch a duck with a fishing hook in its bill. Had to call the RSPCA in the end but the duck had shaken it free. (I love a happy ending. I live on a farm/livery and have 5cats and a collie called Casper. We also have three communal pet sheep!
I have recently taken up Tai Chi and Yoga.
Love to write and have written for quite a few magazines and some children’s stories and have started a novel. I start university in September to study for an English degree. I am also in the process of setting up a business selling equestrian products, in partnership with my neighbours.
I have a sometimes dry, sometimes childish sense of humour. I like to think I’m intelligent, honest, genuine, affectionate, caring and trustworthy.
I also like to cook or eat out at a good restaurant or have a trip to the pub for a couple of drinks and a natter.
