Proggresive Gamer Geek Recently divorced, looking to get my toes back in the social waters so to speak...been out of the "game" for awhile, so just meeting new people and having adventures is a win/win scenario for me.


Mini bio:

Graduated OSU in 06 with history degree, looking into getting my teaching license finally, most likely at Western, but many avenues remain open...there is always Alpha Farm....:} Looking to move hopefully soon into Portland proper, and hopefully get a new job going as well...underemployed is the suck.

Agnostic(RIP Hitchens), liberal, straddling the mainstream vs counter-culture line with mixed hobbies/views; a quasi-hippie. I am pretty frugal and not materialistic with clothing, car etc....big fan of Your Money or you Life/Early Retirement Extreme principles. I abhor the rabid consumerism(e.g. Black Friday), predatory nature of marketing etc in our corporate-driven culture.

Politically aware with some jaded elements, I am a BIG fan of Bill Maher, and I have been wanting to get into more direct action, ideally with a humanist/progressive group here in Oregon, OKWS etc. I wish I was born in the UK.

Big time gamer(PC mostly), focusing on online games where I enjoy connecting with other geeks, currently its Battlefield 3, but I'm trying to balance my gaming with other more noble pursuits, like yoga. I used to do it in college, but recently started again....NAMASTE. :} Also like hiking, playing with my dog, cycling(pretty much Car-Free, very liberating), taking the MAX/Bus into P-town for adventures(Swagats!) etc.
