Freak or unique? I'm not always the most confident of people, and thus, sef-promotion is not something that comes naturlly to me. I guess all I can really tell you is that I'm a decent kind of guy - not that I claim to fart rainbows or anything but I'm nothing if not genuine. I have a caring and compassionate nature, a good - if somewhat warped - sense of humour (or so I have been informed) and I would like to think that I am reasonaly intelligent and articulate. Sometimes I can be quite shy around strangers, a problem which is exacerbated in larger groups, but generally speaking, I warm up relatively quickly, especially when engaged in conversation about an interesting topic.

I'm a huge music fan - particularly of, but not exclusively, rock and metal - and I'm also something of a bookworm and a movie buff. My taste in these mediums are varied and wide ranging, however, regarding the latter two, I generally gravitate towards 'weird fiction' and or things of a darker nature. I use the term 'weird fction' for all the fantastical - fantasy, SF, horror and all the stuff that won't fit neatly into slots . While I wouldn't describe myself as a Goth - more a conflation of various things 'alternative'and some not so - I do however possss some sensibilites pertaining to the Goth subculture. Again, these manifest themselves predominantly in much of my taste in the aforementioned mediums as well as stuff like art and architecture for example. When my brain permits it, and when life isn't getting in the way, I also enjoy writing. Language is my sandpit if you will. One day I hope to fulfill my ambition of completing a novel and or screenplay with view to getting them published/made into a movie respectively. I'm also a bit of a comic book/graphic novel junkie, video game enthusiast - I'm currently going through something of a retro phase - and free thinking inquisitor.
