I am living on my sailing catamaran which I plan to sail to Asia , in particular Japan end of this year. I am very interested in learning everything I can about the culture, religious beliefs, real estate, climate and so on. I am looking for a place to call home and stay forever. I am retired military. I now value peace and harmony over anything else. Nature, especially the sea and waterways memorize me. I have heard stories of amazing fishing in Japan also, wahoo and Mahi just off a pier, instead of taking a boat out hours like some places in the US.
I have read that westerners can live in Japan thier while life, and still not completely understand the culture. This is very interesting. I wonder if a westerner could ever really fit in full time in Japan. But then I wonder is it just the same as someone from Japan coming to the US. Some, I hope most places are very welcoming of people from other countries, while there are places here they are not. It is sad, but true , I suppose it is human nature and can be found anywhere humans gather if you look hard enough.
Anyway, I apologize I rambled. I am interested in finding someone to speak to with the possibility of a relationship in the future.
