Hi, I’m Katherine (Kat, Katilla the Hun, Mushy). Long-term dreams of becoming a homemaker, SAHM, and steward of a largely self-sustaining homestead somewhere with trees, rain, and enough room for chickens, lots of gardens, and an absurd number of bookshelves. Open to relocating, even internationally, for the right man and mission. Unapologetically conservative, and genuinely desiring a Christ-centered, traditional marriage.

I’m happiest near the ocean and countryside - reading under trees, wandering barefoot through forests, sitting beside campfires, listening to wind chimes during a storm, and cooking for the ones I love. I adore seventies funk, sixties psychedelia, ABBA, classic rock, and the smell of old paperback books. Passionfruit-flavoured everything has my heart.

My hobbies tend to oscillate between “slightly scholarly” and “slightly feral grandma.” I love classical literature and Renaissance art, collect books to a concerning degree perhaps, and am fascinated by medieval Italian politics, ancient history, anthropology, geography, botany, mycology, and permaculture. I dabble in crochet, embroidery, language learning, board games, and occasionally entertain the unrealistic fantasy of sewing my entire own wardrobe. I really enjoy cooking for people, and have even made period-accurate ancient historical feasts.

As for the man I admire: intelligence, wit, decisiveness, protectiveness, and strong leadership are traits I find deeply attractive. I appreciate men who are funny, prayerful, mission-minded, assertive, practical, and unafraid to take initiative. Nerdiness and outdoorsy-ness are basically elite. Bonus points if you can assemble furniture without emotional collapse, endure ABBA on repeat, teach me something, and confidently order for me on a date.
