Kay, so, my husband of 27 years died this Summer, and I’ve been freeing myself from the person I made myself be for him… Fair warning, it does look a little ‘mid-life crisis-y’ from the outside. I finally got that tattoo I’d been wanting for a couple of decades. I take my kid to rock venues and hiking in New Hampshire, and we spend evenings watching anime or catching up on 90s / 2000s shows I missed the first time around. I do lots of stuff: biking, pottery, gardening/yard stuff, protest. I’ve tentatively starting writing a bit on AO3, and I’m the dungeon master for my kid’s DnD group with his friends. I’m a Quaker (they didn’t have that as an option before) but really more on the spiritual side… i like the community, they’re good folks.

Just to be clear, I’m in my 50s, and not really looking for someone too much younger than myself. I’m in this weird space where a lot of what I’m into is big with younger crowds, so I guess I’m looking for someone else who doesn’t give a s--- about that. It might be nice, you know? We could not give a s--- together.

I was a little ashamed to put ‘bi-curious’ down… I guess I feel like I should have worked that out by now, but I figured I’d just be straightforward about it.

So what I’m looking for is a romantic relationship, not specifically serious to start. I’m not averse to it transitioning to something more in-depth and long-term… but I just got out of one of those that, well, wasn’t that great for a long while. Sorry, once you get into your 50s, I think it’s pretty much a given that you’ll have some hang-ups to carry ‘round.
