More important than anything, you need to know that I am extremely sensitive. I feel things deeply. This makes a lot of people very uncountable. If you are one of those people, I’m sorry, but we wouldn’t work out in any capacity. I’ve been told enough from childhood that I’m too sensitive. I no longer see my sensitivity as a fault but as my super power.

I am a person of contradictions. I am introverted, but love meeting new people. I am a homebody, but have wander---- and love exploring new lands, peoples, and cultures. I am shy, but can strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere.

Nature to me is religion. When I’m in nature I feel whole. Hiking, kayaking, camping. Water is my passion, I love being in it, near it, on it. Water is life.

There’s so much in this world that I want to learn.

It makes me happy to cook and bake for people and make them feel nurtured. Board games with a small group of people, some snacks and a good beverage is a great night. But so is cuddling close to someone and binge watching something on Netflix. “One more?” “You do realize it’s 1:30 A.M.?” “So one more?” “Absolutely!”

I am not interested in people who have no empathy. It’s been highly contested who originally said this, but my adopted motto is: “Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle.” I may not have the money to relieve all the suffering in the world but that doesn’t mean we as a society should stop trying. I used to say to my kids when they were little, “What’s the most important thing?” All three would answer in unison, “Be kind!”

I hope I can meet someone I can be friends with. I hope that friendship can blossom into something more special and intimate, and even though I’m willing to enjoy my own company, I hope to someday grow old with someone I love.
