Some memorable adventures: celebrating the turn of the millennium in a 12th century castle in Wales, getting stalked by a crack dealer in Nicaragua, kayaking in New Zealand, bike-riding through white-night St. Petersburg, camping in the Canadian Rockies, staying in a Buddhist temple complex in Kyoto, and dodging multi-species traffic in Jaipur.
