I grew up on a dairy farm in a pretty rural part of Idaho. I moved to Boise to attend college and realized that I'm just a city girl at heart. Even though i love Boise, i still go home occassionally to visit my family. Family is very important in my life because they've always been there to support me. I love to laugh and figure life's too short to always be serious. I'm not saying I can't be serious when the occassion calls for it, I'm just saying I'd rather have more fun moments than serious ones in my life.
I'm currently a college student majoring in psychology with a minor in gender studies. Once I finish getting my bachelore's degree, I plan to go on and get my master's degree. Education is very important to me. I work as a community support worker for a guy who has Down Syndrome and I absolutely love my job! I'm a part of the civic leadership residential on BSU's campus so I do a lot of volunteer and leadership type stuff through that. I'm also part of the Student Alumni Association because I absolutely love Boise State and want to promote school spirit. I also volunteer once a week for the discovery center of idaho. I love doing that because seeing the look on a child's face when they figure out an exhibit is one of the most rewarding things. I'm pretty busy, but still like to find time to have fun and meet new people.
