Knows his claret from his beaujolais Hello to every gorgeous girl
Who's looking at my page
I thought let's give this thing a whirl
They say it's all the rage

I'd better try and sell myself
So you don't click away
For if you leave me on the shelf
My friends will think I'm gay

I'm strangely like my zodiac
A virgo through and through
Good natured, thoughtful with a knack
Of being funny too

Intelligent and sometimes shy
Reliable and neat
My sense of humour can be dry
But really I'm quite sweet

I love to hear the rolling sea
And unplanned weekend breaks
A mug of lemon ginger tea
With home made fairy cakes

A purring cat sat on my lap
Fresh strawberries served with cream
A lazy Sunday evening nap
And waking from a dream

I like to make sad faces smile
Rhubarb and apple pie
In scrabble playing every tile
And rainbows in the sky

My bright and early morning jogs
The muffins that I bake
A game of fetch with crazy dogs
Banana flavoured shake

The forecast of some heavy snow
Those well earnt hilltop views
A trip to see a theatre show
And listening to the blues

Some things that I cannot abide
Include theology
Dropped litter in the countryside
And olives aren't for me

Nor people with a bossy streak
Or sneaky photographs
The first day of the working week
And jokes that get no laughs

Those fake and tacky plastic flowers
When pop stars only mime
To hear my plane's delayed for hours
And poems that don't rhyme

As for my future lifetime goal
There's not too much beside
My wish to stay a happy soul
And just enjoy the ride

Apart from run up Snowdon peak
And back down speedily
Then to perfect my French technique
And write a comedy

My other hope and dream in life
Is find a nice brunette
Who will agree to be my wife
But I've not met her yet
