Open Relationships, and Poly

My girlfriend and I are both bisexual. We have talked of meeting other couples into the same. Here is the thing, however. Most people seem to just be looking for that all elusive ---------, which I have found will destroy a relationship faster than anything else, especially if one partner is pushing for it more than the other.

What are you guys thoughts on this?

I read the first part of a book about ---------s and relationships. It clearly stated what you said, that ---------s nearly always break up a couple and should only be practiced if the relationship is just temporary anyway. Finding another couple that feels the same way you do would probably be best.
