How can this be
Why can't I see the way?
How do I tell you every thought
Running through my mind?
Moving back and forth through synapses
Never to move past my lips.
Feelings, emotions, jumbled and messy
A sorting bin is almost necessary.
I physically cannot have them flow
Forth from myself making any sense.
I need a way to organize
And categorize what I want to say
In order, so I can convey it to you
How I want to.
Why isn't that more simple?
An easier task to accomplish
Without all these explanations going a-rye.
It'll happen someday,
When all the butterflies subside.
But until that day,
I'll just lock it all inside..
