What is love?

Seriously, I see nothing along the lines of unconditional love. Every person has their price, every individual has their limits. You could devote yourself fully to someone, hear sweet promises of an eternity of commitment, yet then they either cheat or leave.

Is it that all is based on condition, or is there something that can truely bond you with another? I am at a loss, are the ideas of dating just a minimal test, to see if one can stay committed? Those that you desire, are always out of reach, then those that do reach down, leave for their past love reunited.

I can't understand the pain of loss anymore. The one's that betray you, that should matter so little in your life, bring the most pain. The longer the relationship, the deeper the cut within your heart.

Are these relationships we so eager to have, just a silly attachment for the downfall of our sanity, or is there something more?

`love is a connection between two individulas, when you really love someone then your willing to do anything for that person to keep her or him happy . even if that means compromising your own beliefs, and you can always tell whn someone loves you when they to are willing to do anything just to make you happy even against their own beliefs and judgement.

love is where two poeple join together with full understanding of each other and devotion to one another with respect. it is where both parties are will to compromise and as my mother alsways told me only love those who love you and it takes two hand to clap. and i firmly believe in this policy...

`What is love? Ive been married 4 times and i dont know why. I think back occasionally and wonder.... what did i see in her? I thought i was in love i guess but i dont miss them now.If love was involved wouldnt i miss them? There was the separation period when i questioned myself about the decision to leave but the period passed.I have been single for 2 years now ..the longest ive ever been by myself. I find myself not giving in to the usual urges to date those i find attractive or sexy.Instead i have set my standards to what i have always wanted in a woman. Honesty(havent found one yet,in 4 marriages and single 2 years),Respect(no on that one too),listening instead of talking(nope there too)Really tries to understand that there are others just as important to the relationship as she is(no).I could go on and on,but heres what i think love is...when and if you find that one person and you just cant seem to get it all together, when is enough......enough? The answer is NEVER.( best definition ive heard in 55 years..from the movie....the mexican )I have at least 2-3 chances every day to start another relationship but i just dont have it in my heart anymore i really really wish i did.

Love is one thing which brings people together while pushing people apart, It makes you smile like you have never smiled before, like when you first see that person after a long time apart. It also makes you cry like you've never cried before. Like when you lose someone you love forever. It makes people do stupid things and it makes people perform the most amazing feats of courage. It can create life as easily as it can destroy it. It can be born but never die, Love can be total devotion, while for others being total agony. Love is balance. An essential balance.
