Thanks for your message.
Yandex is a Russian site that has listed numerous Passions Network sites as having 'malware'.
There is no malware or virus' in/on any of our sites.
We have set up an account with Yandex to try and find out why they are reporting these problems (when sites like Norton Antivirus and McAfee show that our sites are malware/virus free).
Likewise, there is another virus system called Avast that is doing the same thing.
We have set up an account with them as well, to determine why they are also reporting problems.
After contacting Avast, they reviewed our sites and said that they found no indication of any malware and/or virus'...and that the member using Avast should update their virus definition list, as that would likely fix the error/alert that particular member was seeing.
Basically, Avast confirmed that upon review, our sites do not have any malware or virus'.
We have reviewed our sites/software/servers and our Hosting company has done the same.
After a review, we have found NO indication of any malware or virus' in our network.
While no system is foolproof, we find it HIGHLY UNLIKELY that this Russian system is better than Norton Antivirus or McAfee at identifying malware and/or virus'.
We have anti-virus protection in place on our network, and we visit our sites constantly...and none of our personal anti-viral systems have displayed any problems.
Nevertheless, we have already submitted multiple requests for additional information from Yandex on what it is that is triggering their warning. As their entire site/system is in Russian, it is taking us a bit longer to make sure that we are initiating the appropriate reviews/re-reviews of our sites...but we are working on it.
We recommend that any member who is concerned, consider downloading one of the more well known virus/malware solutions (like Norton Anti-virus and/or McAfee) to verify that our sites are in fact completely clean of any malware or virus'.
Thanks,
Customer Service

We receive notifications whenever a thread is responded to, so the issue you have been having regarding forum notifications seems to be related to your email settings, or your ISP.
We have made no changes to the forum notification system since we originally fixed the problem a month or so ago.
With regards to the Yandex problem, we do not have an answer for you.
We are in the midst of a massive upgrade of one of our servers to an entirely new server (with significantly more power, space and RAM)...and that process should be completed within the next day or so.
We have not seen what you have described with regards to the Russian site Yandex, but once we are on a completely new server, our guess is that that change alone may 'fix' whatever issue you have been experiencing.
In any case, the process to migrate to the new server should be complete soon, and you will know after that, whether or not the 'Yandex Issue' has been resolved by the move.
Thanks,
.

Here is a copy of the reply from Yandex that we received last month:
---------------------------------
Hello,
I apologize for the delay with my reply.
Your site has been successfully rechecked and is no longer marked as dangerous in Yandex search results.
--
Sincerely yours, ------
Yandex support team
---------------------------------
We have commented out the name of the contact person who was working on this issue.
As with Avast, both companies have now confirmed that there is no virus or malware on our servers.
Thanks,
.
