Transcendental Medication

My higher plane is grounded, a sudden delay
Now it lies flat on a prairie, downed and still
I was bound for Oblivion, much anticipation
Now I just have more time to kill
And the tank awaits a refill

There was too much fog, I am told
I re-book at another airport for last call
I will not stay in Misery any longer
Until I refuel with sweet alcohol
And see my higher plane fall

My trascendental medication is a lie
I wanted to fly, but I crashed and burned
Oblivion is not what it's cracked up to be
But, there is a lesson to be learned
Visibility can be returned

I exit the terminal, out of the airport
The air is sweet, life is much clearer
I can prescribe myself something better
And love what I see in the mirror
For heaven's that much nearer
